On 20 June 2017, ROSATOM and Czech Power Industry Alliance (CPIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Atomexpo-2017 IX International Forum.
The MoU was signed by First Deputy Director General for Corporate Development and International Business of ROSATOM Kirill Komarov, on the Russian side, and Committee Chairman of the CPIA Peter Bodnar, Deputy Committee Chairman Josef Perlik and Committee Member Frantisek Konicek, on the side of the Alliance.
The goal of the MoU is to develop bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy at win-win conditions. That implies, first of all, Czech Power Industry Alliance member countries participation in ROSATOM’s projects in Russia and abroad. In its turn, the Alliance is ready to assist in obtaining export finance for Czech companies to be able to take part in the projects.
“Cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic in nuclear sphere has a history of over 60 years. Czech companies have become our reliable and traditional suppliers. In recent years only, Czech companies have delivered products for 14 NPPs constructed by ROSATOM globally. I am confident that the agreement which we have signed today will enable us to expand our current interaction and effectively utilize joint experience, best practices and know-how,” Kirill Komarov highlighted.
