Moscow, 23 April 2020 - From the earliest stages of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, ROSATOM has mobilised its scientific, technical, organizational and human resources to fight the spread of COVID-19. At present, ROSATOM is providing personal protective equipment not only to its on-site personnel, but also to the residents of the cities of its presence. The company is working closely with Russia’s Federal Biomedical Agency, strengthening the technical and material resources available to its medical institutions, and supporting a mass volunteer movement in the cities of its operations. Thousands of volunteers from atomic cities have been equipped with PPE to facilitate their work helping veterans and the elderly.
At the same time, the coronavirus problem is a countrywide problem, which is why ROSATOM’s management, including its Director General, Alexey Likhachev, his deputies, the heads of divisions and enterprises (totally over two hundred executives) have decided to join the Russia-wide mutual assistance campaign #WeAreTogether and transfer their monthly salary to the fundraising effort.
Many other ROSATOM employees, as well as the employees of various subsidiaries, are also joining the executives’ initiative and supporting the fundraising effort according to their means.

The #WeAreTogether mutual aid campaign is aimed at supporting the elderly, the disabled, and essential medical professionals during the coronavirus pandemic. The campaign’s organisers include Medical Volunteers, the All-Russian People's Front, and the Association of Volunteer Centers. Volunteers are working hard in all of Russia’s regions, delivering medicine and foodstuff to those in need. Lawyers and psychologists are offering free consultations and counselling to those in need, and thousands of campaign partners are offering other services and goods. Over 90,000 volunteers are participating.

Funds are being spent on the acquisition of food and essential non-food items for senior citizens and people with limited mobility. They are also being invested in logistics; the purchase of disinfectant supplies and of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, etc.) for volunteers; assistance to frontline medical professionals; and on ensuring the smooth operation of regional volunteer headquarters.
