On June 19, 2017 ROSATOM and MVM Hungarian Electricity Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum was signed by Kirill Komarov, first deputy CEO of Rosatom and Peter Csiba, Chairman and CEO of MVM Ltd.

The aim of the document is to strengthen and further advance companies already existing cooperation in maintenance, service and fuel supply of Paks Nuclear Power Plant. The parties also wish to cooperate in nuclear power plant development both in Russia and third countries, enhance their nuclear education and training activities and further advance common projects in the field of research and development. The two companies also seek for common projects in the field of renewable energy projects in the CEE and Balkan region.

“Roastom and MVM shares a long history of successful cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, which provides a strong basis to further expand this collaboration to various new activities”, said Peter Csiba .

'We are convinced that the establishment of this strategic partnership and the expansion of joint activities will bring various mutually beneficial new projects and innovative solutions which could also significantly contribute to the development of nuclear energy technology', stressed Kirill Komarov.
