Rosatom’s Procurement System

Due to construction of power units in Russia and abroad, engineering, construction and installation companies and equipment suppliers receive a lot of orders for service and equipment. Annual procurement costs of Rosatom companies amount to hundreds of millions of rubles.

As proper and reliable operation of nuclear power facilities mainly depends on suppliers Rosatom has developed an open and transparent procurement system. Great effort has also been made to develop general procurement standards and computerize procurement processes in order to switch to electronic tendering, to form an in-house training system. The system is based on six principles: compliance to the law and basic concept of business organization; high quality standards of products; best price; transparency of business; and anticorruption mechanisms.

Rosatom’s procurement system is based on international procurement principles and rules, transparent tendering processes compliant with the laws and regulations of the Russian Federation.
